Opposites the Characters that Last

Stories are filled with all sorts of characters but have you noticed that a lot of the characters that exist in stories are opposites? Snow White has the evil Queen, werewolves have vampires, and superman has all sort of villains coming after him.  It’s important to have characters that are opposite of each other when you are writing your stories.  Even best friends are sometimes opposites.

Think Hunger Games, the new hot film that’s came out last week,  Katniss love interests are opposite in physical appearance and attitude.  Gale has dark hair and he breaks the rules and goes hunting with , while Peeta is a blond baker who’s sure that he’s going to die after he’s selected as a tribute and forced to fight in the games.  Characters that are opposites makes things interesting.
