Announcing the 17th Annual Signet Classics Student Scholarship Essay Contest

The book this year is 1984 by George Orwell. This contest is for juniors and seniors and offers its winners a $1000 prize.  I decided to post this contest early because you have to read the novel and choose one of 6 essay topics and write an essay in response to the question posted.

Although the deadline is in June I think it’s never too early to get started and if you start early perhaps you can get your English teacher give you feedback on your essay.

Click on the link below for more information or go to Penquingroup.com.  Good luck.

  1. Good day! This is kind of off topic but I need
some help from an established blog. Is it tough to set up your own blog?

I’m not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty fast. I’m thinking about making my own but I’m not sure where to begin. Do you have any ideas or suggestions? Cheers

    • Sign up for WordPress. Select a template. On the Pages section. You can write what your blog is about. Personal setting allows you to write your header and tagline.

Once you start blogging make sure the edit page says visual. Zemanta I think that’s the name is a free service on WordPress that helps you add free photos and links to articles. Good luck!
