The Writers Digest Competition is knocking on our food again. It’s  short story competition for various genres of writing.


  • Memoirs/Personal Essay
  • Inspirational Writing
  • Genre Short Story (Mystery, Romance, etc.)
  • Magazine Feature Article
  • Rhyming Poetry
  • Non-rhyming Poetry
  • Stage Play
  • Television/Movie Script
  • Children’s/Young Adult Fiction


Early Bird Deadline: May 6, 2013 Why not give it a shot and see what happens.  Hey you never know!

    • I think so that’s the date I saw on the site. More competitions will be coming up and when they do I will post them on the blog. Good luck. Sometimes deadlines are extended but I would look at May 6th as the deadline they usually don’t extend it too far past the deadline.

  2. That stinks…I’ve been into writing for a while now, but yesterday when we were writing for a school assignment I wanted to get back to MORE writing. It’s too bad that it’s already over,though, I may have had a chance writing a short fiction story. (fiction and fantasy are kinda’ my thing)
