Teen Writing Tip

once upon a timeIt’s spring break, at least it is for me. Today is the first official day for my break and I have to say that I’m not off to a good start. I haven’t scheduled this week’s posts but I have bought my tickets for the Tribeca Film Festival and my tickets for Lift, a Walter Mosley play I wanted to see at the Crossroads Theater.

Seeing movies and plays in addition to reading books is another way to improve your writing. I find that so many different things influence my work. Of course it’s important to write and set goals. My goal is to get another draft of my novel completed this week. What’s your goal for this week? What do you do when you don’t reach that goal? Do you give up? Me, I just start over and keep trying.

If you can why not check out an indie film or a play during your break or some time this week? You never know how it will influence your writing.
