Right now as I write this poem I can heard the birds chirping. Actually there is a blend of various birds calling out. Write a poem about the sounds you heard today.
Sounds of Spring
The plane’s engine’s roars, cutting through the tranquility of the day’s peace.
The bird’s chirp in protest he disturbance
As a mother directs her two daughters dressed floral summer dresses.
Children’s laughter competes with the clang of the church bells ringing.
As the hum of a distant lawn mover echoes.
Feet run down the street making a thumping sound then disappear.
The wind rustling in the trees brings peace again and the cycle repeats.
