Teen Writing Competition

Standard

The 8th Annual Henderson Libraries Teen Writing Contest is accepting submissions. The Contest submission period ends in February so if you are in the 6th to 12th grades it’d be a good idea to start now.

Below are the details.

  • Contest is open to teens in grades 6-12
  • No fan fiction or school assignments.
  • Submit 2,000 words in one of the following categories: Poetry, Fiction, or Essay/Memoir ( Only one submission permitted)
  • The work must be original and unpublished

 

Deadline: Entries must be submitted online between December 1, 2016 and February 25, 2017

The Prize: Selected entries will be collected and published in the digital literary magazine, Unlocked Voices, which will become part of Henderson Libraries Digital Collections
