Standard

One of Us is Lying by Karen M. McManus, is a great book! The book was pitched as The Breakfast Club meets Pretty Little Liars. Four teenagers, Bronwyn, the brains; Copper, the jock; Abby, the beauty; Nate, the criminal; and Simon, the outcast are all called to detention after being caught with cell phones that were found in their backpacks. They not only all deny having cells phones but they also claim that the phones found weren’t theirs.

A car accident occurs bringing everyone’s attention to the window. The next thing they know Simon starts having an allergic reaction to the water he was drinking and no one can locate his Epic-pen or the pens in the nurse’s office. In the end Simon dies and the four remaining students are soon accused of murder.

One by one their most private secrets are reveal when Simon’s app About That releases information about them. This book keeps you hanging on as each student’s life is wrecked as their private lives and secrets become public.
