The Awakeningis the second book in a trilogy by Kelley Armstrong. The book continues the story of Chloe, Tori, Derek and Simon all supernatural teens who were unknowingly part of the Genesis Project, a scientific experiment on “supernatural teens”. The kids have all sort of powers ranging from telekinesis, super hearing, super strength and heightened senses, sorcery, and the power to raise the dead.
The kids start off in Buffalo after escaping from a school for kids with mental problems and head to south in hopes of finding Simon’s father, a scientist who was part of the Edison Group,(a group of sciences who created the Genesis Project). The kids end up battling a group of angry werewolves, dangerous knife wielding homeless teens, an armed security team and other supernaturals as they try to find help and battle the people who are bent of killing them.
Great action. This book is even better than The Summoning the first book of series.
